Supernatural Convention Autograph Freeze
Recently, some con goers at TorCon had their J2 autographs refunded and were given the explanation that it was a “scheduling/time conflict”. Not long after, all the autograph sales for 2017 cons were “sold out” or frozen. This left a lot of con- goers a little nervous about the fate of their own J2 autographs at other cons and wondering what happening. And because I have two J2 autograph tickets for SeaCon, I wanted to find out what was going on. Was it a scheduling conflict for real? Or was it something else? So, I emailed Gary Berman of Creation. Keep reading below to see my conversation with him.
I emailed Gary Berman of Creation and asked him. He was very vague about the details, but his answer left me in no doubt that there is a rule issue that they are trying to resolve “the best they can”.
I wrote him back one more time. In my e-mail, I said “I’m going out on a limb” and guessing that this has to do with the amount of personal stories being told at autographs (particularly to Jared) and the fact that certain con-goers are not obeying the rules; as a result, autographs are taking the boys a much longer time to get through. He then basically reiterated that they were still trying to figure things out and that the rules are CLEARLY set out, but no one wants to follow them.
His e-mail left me with two impressions: 1. He is highly frustrated and concerned and 2. Creation’s back is up against the wall regarding this issue, and big changes are going to come down the pike if people don’t start obeying the rules.
One thing I tried to do in my e-mail other than push for answers, was to give Creation some helpful suggestions that I, and some other fans, have thought of that might alleviate the problem before it reaches crisis point. “Crisis point” is where we ALL lose the opportunity for J2 autographs, because rumor has it that ONLY GOLD/SILVER PACKAGES MAY GET THEM. These are the suggestions I sent Gary:
1. Cut down the number of autographs for sale across the board (which is something I think Creation is doing right now by freezing autograph sales)
2. Cut down the number of autographs, but PLEASE still make them available to all, and not just as a perk in the gold/silver packages. There are so many people who simply can’t afford gold and silver packages.
3. When people are waiting in line and having their lanyards marked, have that handler give a warning about personal stories and tell fans that if they don’t comply, they will be stopped and taken away from the autograph table, pronto.
4. Have a handler available next to Jensen and Jared at autographs who will break into personal stories and move people along.
5. Put up a sign at autos that states the no personal stories rule, and that violators will be taken away from the table.
In addition to these 5 suggestions, I also asked him to please honor all J2 autograph tickets already purchased, if at all possible. I do not think people who have already purchased tickets should be penalized because some people cannot follow the rules.
Gary was very appreciative of these ideas, but who knows if Creation will even bother taking it to that next level? They may instead go straight to just cutting the autographs way back by giving them only to gold/silver package holders in order to keep the time down. I sincerely hope it does not come to that and I urge/beg all con-goers to please forego sharing your personal experiences with Jared. Conventions as we have known them are going to change because people cannot follow this one rule. At some point we will not have the wonderful opportunity of meeting Jensen and Jared face to face at the autograph table because some people would not listen. Don’t let that be you who makes that happen. Thank you.

She hadn't told him a story beforehand, mind you, and he smile at her and say "Not at all. Wouldn't be a family if we didn't share stuff." I thought I'd share this even though I'm not even on tumblr because ... how come you think you know better? Jared straightup told us he didn't mind and he wouldn't lie about this.

Well, as Jensen said about Jared at AHBL: "He’s just a big dumb emotional Moose. Sometimes the smart little squirrel has to tell him what to do.” Jared’s heart is very big, indeed. He himself has admitted that he sometimes spreads himself too thin. I was at VanCon last year and I went through the auto line and told him a funny story that made him laugh. Not two minutes later, someone told him something devastatingly sad. He had to step away from the table and take a 15 min. break. Now do you think telling him something that upsets him like that is fair to all the other people in line? He is too kind NOT to listen, but unfortunately, the con is not the place for these kinds of exchanges. The poor guy was at the table until after 9 p.m. in Dallas, and he was exhausted. Jared cannot afford to get exhausted, as you must know. I think part of growing up is learning to be unselfish and to care about someone else’s welfare besides our own. Don’t you think you might owe Jared that same courtesy? I don’t know better, but I do understand that because of these long lines due to all these stories, we WILL lose these autograph privileges eventually. Creation’s rule is made for the actors’ benefit. Please think about that. Thanks for writing, xo

и подобная история не единственная. Раньше такого не было со стороны организаторов.
И вот сидишь и думаешь: а что это было с отменой автограф-сессий? Захотел - отменил, захотел - поиграл в героя, разом осчастливив фанатку и выставив неадекватной дурой персонал кона?
Но по итогу все это выглядит настолько лицемерно. Думаю, хочу ли я узнавать, сколько в этом реального лицемерия а сколько..мм, проявлений того, чем Джаред все время страдает и называет депрессией. Никто не знает, отчего она у него, я спрашивала у разных людей. Но по-моему все очевидно.

А тут пишут, что объявление было вывешено аж ДО самой конвенции, что прошла там в этом году.
Если бы у этого была какая-то уважительная причина - ее бы озвучили, верно? Даже "не хотим, устали!" - тоже уважительная в достаточной степени причина. Тем более если сообщают за год. Конвенции в некоторых городах Creationent просто отменяет без объяснений причин. Если бы дело было в каких-то буйных фанатах с прошлой конвенции - об этом бы тем более все узнали, поскольку сами фанаты быстрее устроителей конвенций расскажут как кто-то вел себя неподобающе.
Фишка в том, что _части людей_ эти автографы доступны по-прежнему.
Они не закончились, т.к. распроданы, и дело не в том что "вообще всем запретили общаться с актерами во время фото и автографов". И не были отменены все потому что "актеры не хотят вас видеть".
Хотя очевидно, что Голд-билеты покупают самые упоротые, то бишь именно те, от кого и стоит ожидать нарушения правил на конвенции. Следующий уровень - это уже сторожить кумира у отеля. Хотя еще вопрос, что дешевле и целесообразнее, если имеешь дело с Creationent
То есть получается, что правила ужесточились для всех, но если заплатишь намного больше - то для тебя все будет по-прежнему, т.к. время найдется! Потому что Золота и Серебра мало и они дороги. А количество фотоопов и автографов в день осталось неизменным, об этом по-прежнему написано на сайте Creationent.
Вот еще дивная история Это не слова очевидца, а сборник отзывов с Фейсбука, но есть интересная деталь: речь все время не об одних волонтерах, речь о "ваш персонал и ваши волонтеры".
То есть это не некие дикие волонтеры из дикого леса, которых неудачно набрали по объявлению. Это реакция Creationent на что-то, что странным образом совпало по времени с ужесточением правил и вывешиванием объявления про автографы-только-для-золотых/серебряных-билетов
И еще, истории про "персонал был со мной груб и не подпускал/уводил меня" все преимущественно о джейту-фотоопах; а джейтушники вспоминают истории годичной давности про AHBL вроде той что я привела в посте. тут я склонна им верить, знаешь ли.
Так что да, я думаю, дело не в Creationent а в ком-то из них двоих.
И это не Дженсен, хотя бы потому что он не жаловался даже когда его без спросу поцеловала фанатка на коктейль-пати(?). Остается Джаред, с которым уже подобное бывало.
А потом когда ему легчает он идет продавать футболки, где написано что "семья всегда тебя поддержит", "семья всегда с тобой" и прочее что там на них обычно написано.
Creationent уже лет 50 как проводят конвенции, они на этом собаку съели; и их правила в общем-то были справедливы. За такие-то деньги - такая-то услуга. Все было четко и справедливо до сих пор. У них даже время прописано, которое отводится на фото или автограф. 15 секунд в среднем. Если бы они хотели выставить себя в дурном свете - это был бы прекрасный способ. Но кто станет сам себя выставлять в другом свете и зачем? Если бы они хотели еще больше бабла - придумали бы что-нибудь еще, не унижающее достоинства людей. А вот на непродуманное объявление в результате капризов одного из актеров это походит очень даже. Джаред в капризы, а Дженсен отказывается от обычного порядка за компанию, благо он сам не любит оставаться один на один с аудиторией без чьей-либо поддержки.
А потом читаешь про злых волонтеров, которым ах-ах, доблестный Джаред героически не подчинился. Дженсен хотя бы последователен в своей мизантропии.
До того я читала много историй, в том числе очень много про позорные розыгрыши на съемках, которым подвергаются все маломальски заметные и запомнившиеся фанатам актеры, но все убеждала себя, что это высокие отношения, по пьяни чего не бывает и т.д. Но это, с золотыми и серебряными билетами просто как-то вообще за гранью.

Их запрещают периодически, то на одном коне Creationent то на другом. Потом снова разрешают. Разрешают, потому что фанаты платят на самом деле за эти короткие разговоры со звездами, это важнее чем возможность сфотографироваться. Но вот так, чтобы "платите больше и станете белой костью" - такого не было.
